So, you are aware of how The Guide can help you and what to do if it cannot. Now is the special part, the part where we actually get to the nitty gritty wealth of information. But before you go creating a character, it's probably best to know what Litha is. I'm sure you agree.
Okay, so what is this game Litha?
Litha is an RPG, a role-playing game. This means that one will assume a fictional role and write your way into our world. The world, of course, is highly fictional and fantastical, but your clever hand at your keyboard does the writing that makes what it is. It is not necessarily fast paced, as you must wait after every post you make for your GG to respond, but the wait is worth it. You play your character as if you really were them, but I think it's best we caution you that it is a game and, while it is played seriously and as realistic as one can be in an intriguing fantasy world, each player has the right to put their own life before this game.
How does one go about playing Litha?
Well, one must first put themselves in the proper frame of mind. If you come in here believing that you will powergame your way to stardom, or that we behind the screens do not care about the quality of writing put into this, you're not going to make it very far. Once you realize what Litha is all about, you can better add the world.
To play, once you've created a character and been accepted (the instructions to doing so will follow in other issues), you must post on separate message boards that pertain to different geological areas of Litha. Your posts will be responded to by a GG, and your adventure will grow.
GG? Stop saying that! What on earth are GGs?
Glad you asked, but GGs aren't from earth! Well, those that play them are. GG stands for either Game Goddess or Game God, these are the people who make it possible for you to play Litha. They oversee everything from writing new issues in The Guide, to character applications, to the every day postings of characters like you. They are the people who have dedicated their time to Litha and work with you as you play. After you post, they post what has happened as a result of your actions in your previous post. They are, essentially, the Gods and Goddesses that control your fate. Be nice to the GGs, or who knows what will happen...

Why bother playing Litha? There are tons of other games out there!
This is a true statement, and no one is forcing you to play Litha. We simply are one of the many options out there for RPGers that thirst for adventure and fantasy, no one claims we are the best.
However, we offer a few unique features. We have a goal. Unlike the vast majority of play-by-post games, there is a specific task which we are trying to accomplish. You see, there is a civil war in Litha and each side is prepared to risk everything so that they may win. Depending on where you side in this war, your motive will be different. The long-term goal of Litha is, of course, to gain good peace.
We have standards. Yes, folks, that means that no two line posts will be found in Litha, we support only high quality writing, and by doing so we hope to encourage the most intricately designed of players who can add to Litha.
We have original races, religions and a unique world that they are played in. No humans or elves here, no-sir-ee!
We have diversity, not every culture is alike in Litha and it is up to you, as the player, what you find the most fitting.
Basically, we have a new world with new possibilities for high-fantasy play. Try us out, you may fall in love!
How much gold, err, cash will this set me back?
Well, we don't ask anything of you but your time, skills and patience. That means Litha is FREE to play! No money out of your pocket will be put towards paying for Litha. However, donations that will be used to earn us CSC gold are always welcome and rewarded with in-game bonuses. But it is, en essence, a free-RPG.
